Four steps, in this order, every time
A comparison site is only worth reading if you can check it. This is the whole process, including the part where records get held back.
Read what the provider publishes
We start from the company’s own site and from vendor partner directories — sources you can open yourself. We do not buy lists.
Check each field against its source
Every extracted value is read back in context before it is kept. Roughly a third of what automated extraction found turned out to describe a client, a partner, or a blog post rather than the provider.
Hold back records that are too thin
A provider needs three specific fields and at least five of 8 tracked ones before it appears. 100 records clear that bar today; the rest stay unpublished.
Ask the provider to confirm it
Providers can correct anything on their page for free, and tell us whether they are currently taking clients. Confirmed pages say so; unconfirmed ones say that too.

Each field carries the source and the date we checked it. Anything we could not verify says so, rather than being estimated.
